  • Actually it had quite the killing power when released. That's how hundreds died at ground 0 in Mexico. It is unstable by nature currently though, and doesn't sustain strength with human to human sustained transmissions, at least no this time.

  • The whole reason this caught so much attention was because it had the signature of affecting people between 20 and 40 the strongest. It has signatures of the 1918 Flu, which we have recreated and been experimenting with, and know to be no joke.

  • Since we can't link things here, just look at Dr. Jeffrey Taubenberger of the US Armed Forces Institute of Pathology in Washington DC's expirements with the Spanish Flu. This has very similar chararistics to what they recreated, so that is probably why they're freaked.

  • Speaking of pertinent information. We should already have a vaccine for this. The govt. recreated the extinct Spanish Flu cytokine storm virus with parts of other viruses blended in, and it behaves just like this one.

  • It should probably make us consider what is done in fertility treatments. The story seemd to be she wanted another child, and during the fertility treatments, they created many embrios. Many turned out viable. The choice was to freeze the rest and let them die, or implant them.
